Thank you for hanging out

Let's get together again soon!

My Endo

In my last post, I went over the basics of endometriosis. But, endometriosis is anything but basic. Endometriosis is different for all of its warriors. Every person who deals with any chronic illness has a different experience. This post is about my personal experience. I will be answering a few common questions I get asked quite often.

How long have you had endometriosis symptoms?

I believe I noticed my first symptoms in high school.

What symptoms do you experience?

I experience debilitating period cramps that sometimes make me vomit, pelvic pain that can radiate down my legs, GI issues, chest pain, shortness of breath, migraines, hot flashes, high blood pressure, extreme bloating that makes me look pregnant, pain with ovulation, and I used to experience pain with inserting a tampon.

Do you take any medications?

I do not take any pharmaceuticals for my endometriosis. I used to take birth control and NSAIDs. That being said, pharmaceuticals help a lot of people manage their symptoms, for me, I did not see a noticeable change while using them. I now take Flo Vitamins, Elix Cycle Balance, and Seed Probiotics.

Do you use any other techniques to manage your endo?

Currently, I use a heating pad, a hot water bottle, CBD salve, herbs, a TENs unit, pelvic floor physical therapy, and yoga. I am always trying new things to manage my endo.

If you have any other questions about my endometriosis and what I go through, please reach out and I would be happy to chat!

Until next time!
